Christmas 2011

Here is some of the fun from our Christmas 2011...

Decorating the tree - Aubrey was super excited to help with haning up the ornaments this year.

All dressed up for her school program.  She loves those red shoes!

On the door of her classroom...

We made two visits to see Santa this year!  Cooper did such a great job, we decided to go twice!  Just kidding - they both did great at the first visit, but I totally forgot to get a picture of Cooper by himself, since it is his first Christmas.  He kindly cooperated the second time, too...

Checking out the gifts under the tree...

Aubrey's 4th Birthday

I still can't my believe my sweet girl is already 4!  After school and work, we had dinner at home together (steak - Aubrey's choice) and then birthday cake!  She was so surprised to receive her gifts, she thought her trip to Sea World was her present.
The birthday girl, ready for her cake.

Blowing out the candles...

First time didn't work, making it count this time!

Cooper got a little taste of cake, too.  Can't wait to see what he does when it's time for his birthday cake!

Cooper had a great time with the wrapping paper!

Adventures at Sea World

We celebrated Aubrey's upcoming 4th birthday at Sea World over the weekend.  We had been talking about going over the summer but never made it because of the record-setting heat we had a few months ago.  We thought this would be a fun and special way to celebrate Aubrey's birthday.  She's been telling everyone about it for the last few weeks and was very excited to go.

We didn't have the best weather, but were still able to have fun.  It was pretty cold, so at least we look festive with our coats and hats, but it also rained for most of the afternoon.

Luckily, we were able to buy a rain cover for the stroller.  It kept the cold wind and rain off of Cooper!

Aubrey checked out the map while we waited to go into the park.

Cooper's new nickname is Trooper Cooper.  He was so good the whole time we were there.  He watched a few shows and slept through some others, but he didn't seem to be bothered by the cold or the rain.

We got to see a live Sesame Street Show.

And we got to watch Polar Express in 4-D.

This is when the rain started and it never let up, but every one's still smiling!

Hot chocolate and cookies can make anything better!

We got to see Shamu, or actually about 10 of them!  It was really neat to see these huge animals be so gentle and graceful.

The best part of the day was meeting some of the Sesame Street characters. We'd seen a few out and, we kept asking Aubrey if she wanted to take a picture with them, but she said no, she only wanted to see Abby Cadabby.  As we were leaving the Shamu show, we saw Big Bird, Elmo, and Abby taking pictures, and we asked Aubrey if she wanted to go see.  Of course she said yes!  When it was our turn, she ran straight to Abby, but still didn't want to take a picture alone.
It was definitely an adventure, and we told Aubrey the next time we go back, it won't be cold or raining!  I can't believe my big girl is almost 4!!

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year.  Aubrey was so excited about all of the Halloween fun!  She helped me clean out the pumpkin so we could carve it.

Last year Aubrey wouldn't stick her hand in the pumkin.  She told me it was gross.

The Finished Jack-O-Lantern

Aubrey had a great time trick-or-treating and getting to pick a piece of candy after dinner for the next few weeks.  We went to a few houses in our neighborhood and headed home to pass out candy to the rest of the trick-or-treaters.  Aubrey dressed up as Silvermist (one of Tinkerbell's fairy friends) and Cooper was Mickey Mouse.

Can you see her excitement in this picture?

How about this one?

You can definitely see it here!

Cooper was rubbing his eyes before we left.  He was a troooper!  I ended up carrying him home.
Taking pictures of two children is hard work sometimes.  For every 1 or 2 good photos of the two of them smiling and looking at the camera, I get lots of these...

But they still make me smile!
