365 Photos...05/17/11-05/31/11

We're still here.  It's been a busy month getting into the routing of being back to work, and I'm doing my best to keep up with this photo challenge I gave myself.  I don't feel like I'm improving my photography skills much, but am grateful for the excuse to snap a few pictures every day.  Thank goodness for iPhone cameras, too!

05/20/11 - I still swaddle him when I put him to bed, but he usually wiggles himself out and ends up in this sleeping position.

05/25/11 - I think someone was feeling neglected.  Cooper's not the only baby in our house.

Belly Laughs

Cooper laughed at me last night.  This is me trying to get him to do it again.  Excuse all my noises and my own laughter, but it worked.  I got a few belly laughs (mixed in with the hiccups) out of him!

We moved Cooper to his crib in his room. He slept so good, from 8:30 pm to almost 5 am. I woke up around 2 am and checked on him and he was all stretched out with his arms out of his blanket and over his head. Yay!

We bought a small mobile to put on the pack and play in our bedroom. Cooper smiles and kick his feet as soon as we turn it on.

Aunt Meg and Grace's Visit

Aunt Meg and Grace came to visit us last week. We all had a lot of fun. The weather was perfect, so we took the kids to the zoo on Friday. There were also bubble baths, coloring, ice cream, and lots of silliness.

Enjoying the beautiful weather

I went back to work this week, and Cooper started school. I can't believe how fast my time off flew by. It was a pretty smooth transition. I started back slowly, working a half day on Monday and then working a little more each day. I was not the emotional wreck I was when I had to leave Aubrey at school for the first time. I don't have the long days of commuting downtown anymore, and I don't feel like we are leaving Cooper with strangers. We feel so comfortable with all of the teachers and staff at their school, since Aubrey has been there for over 3 years now. The two main teachers that watched Aubrey as a baby are now watching Cooper. This smile means the world to me, especially after a long day at work. It's nice to have a happy baby to come home to.

Aubrey was modeling her crowns and fancy shoes for me this week. I think she had the royal wedding on her mind. We watched some of the tv coverage together, and she loved hearing about the real prince and princess.
