Disney Day Two - Part 1
We started Day 2 at the Animal Kingdom. In the morning, we saw a bird show, rode some rides, saw the Bug's Life show, and even met some new friends.

Disney Day One and Aubrey's 2nd Birthday!
Our day started off early in order to catch our flight to Orlando. Our plane coming in got delayed a bit, so we spent some time waiting in the airport, which Aubrey is not good at. Once we finally made it to Orlando, we had to stand in a very long line to catch the Disney Express to the hotel. It was a Disney line, so it moved very quickly, and we were on a bus in no time. Aubrey was so excited to have her own seat!!
Nana and Pops gave Aubrey a special birthday hat, and we headed out to our first park, Hollywood Studios.

After making our way into the park and picking up Aubrey's birthday button, Aubrey decided it was a good time for a quick nap. My poor baby was exhausted. There was already so much excitement and so many things to see, and we'd only just arrived!

After Aubrey's nap we went to see the Playhouse Disney show with all of her favorite shows (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, and Tigger and Pooh).

We also saw The Little Mermaid show, the Muppets 3D show, rode the Toy Story ride, and got to see the amazing Osborne Christmas lights and snow. It was a great first day!

We checked into our beautiful resort, The Animal Kingdom Lodge, and enjoyed the view from Nana and Pops room.

Merry Christmas!
It's been a busy two weeks for the Maudlin family. We celebrated Aubrey's 2nd birthday in Disney World, got to see Uncle Drew graduate, practiced our "Who Dats", and celebrated Christmas. I'm going to work backwards over the next few days (or however long it takes me to get all these pictures up) and start with our Christmas first.
Aubrey had a great day and must have been a very good girl this year because Santa brought her lots of fun things. She got a kitchen, a tricycle, underwear (which she specifically wrote Santa a letter for on the Tuesday before Christmas to ask for), a baby doll and stroller, and other fun toys to play with.

Santa came!

Aubrey's first look at her presents - she really didn't know what to think about it all.

What turned out to be her favorite toy of the day - the stroller!

Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas!
We took Aubrey to see Santa on Friday night and it was a much better visit than last year (http://aubreynoel.blogspot.com/2008/12/santa.html).
She talked about seeing Santa all week and said she wanted to sit on his lap. When we actually saw him, she got a little scared and changed her mind about sitting on his lap, but at least she didn't cry! And you'll never guess whose lap she IS sitting on! :)

Snow Day
It didn't last very long, but we got snow in Houston for the 2nd year in a row. The flakes started following around 9 am on our side of town. About noon, it was snowing pretty good but wasn't cold enough to stick. They let us go early at work, and I picked up Aubrey up from school around 2:30, and this is what it looked like when we got home...
We went inside for mittens and a heavier coat. Aubrey really seemed to like the snow. We sat outside and watched it for a little while.
It didn't last long, though. The sun was out by 4, but it was pretty while it lasted!

Picture Day

I probably butchered a few spellings, but here are Aubrey and her friends from school:
Front row: Ailyian, Maddie, Baby Aubrey, Aubrey, Kate
2nd Row: Annika, Brayden, Gabriel, Alex, Olivia
Back Row: Ms. Priscilla, Ms. Dixie, Ms. Nasser
And here is one of Aubrey being very serious. (We have 2-year pictures planned for this weekend, so hopefully we'll get a smile!):
Almost 2!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family in Louisiana. We got to spend 4 nights there and Aubrey went to the park and playground everyday we were there. (My dad was the photographer for that fun, so I don't have those pictures yet.)
We also celebrated Aubrey's 2nd birthday a little early with my family since it's now less than 2 weeks away. She had a great time and got lots of fun stuff. She was a pro at unwrapping the presents and even blew out her candles by herself. I know I say it alot, but what a difference a year makes! Here's some of her fun...
Grace was all smiles!
Aubrey and all of her gifts

She got a pretty shirt and a new book from Uncle Drew....

...and pretty pink boots from Nana and Pops...
...and a birthday shirt and desk from Nana and Pops.

Happy Birthday Dear Aubrey!
