Happy Halloween and a Little Ponytail!

Aubrey had a little ponytail when Matt picked her up from school yesterday. Her teacher had fixed it for her, so I tried to recreate it this morning.

And she's already bouncing off the walls at 9 am, and she hasn't had any candy yet! It's going to be a long but fun-filled day! Happy Halloween!

Another Milestone

Aubrey is now sleeping in her Big Girl bed. We have converted her crib to the toddler bed. It's a little sooner than we expected, but she climbed out of her crib twice during naptime yesterday and once this morning when she woke up at 5 am and didn't want to go back to sleep. We decided it was time.

We went to the store today, and she picked out her new bedding, and we bought a pillow for her. She picked the Disney Princesses over the flower pattern. She was very excited about her new bed, until bedtime. She didn't want the sheet on her or pillow to sleep on, but she eventually she settled down and fell asleep. She's growing up fast!

Fall is Here!

I know it's been fall for a few weeks, but it actually felt like it this weekend. So we decided to enjoy the weather and head out to a Pumpkin Patch on Saturday.

Today the Little Gym had a costume party, so Aubrey got to try out her Halloween costume a few weeks early. I wasn't going to post these yet, but she's so cute, I had to share.

Feeling Better

Aubrey was sick all weekend. She started running a fever on Friday night that lasted through Sunday night. I stayed home with her on Monday, just to be on the safe side. We spent most of the weekend on the couch watching the Disney Channel and reading books. On Monday morning I knew she was feeling better when after she told me she was done with her second waffle, she asked me for some ice cream. And when I said no, she asked me for some pudding.

Last night, since it felt so nice outside and since she was feeling better, we took a walk to the playground. Aubrey loves going on the slides and she's a pro at it now!

Visit to Baton Rouge

These are from a few weeks ago. Aubrey was so excited to go to Baton Rouge to visit Cousin Grace. She talked about it all week and knew that on Saturday we were going to see Grace. So Saturday morning when Aubrey woke at 6 am, the first thing she said to Matt was "It's Saturday - Grace!" and giggled. Brandon and Megan fixed a delicious lunch and Aubrey even helped Aunt Meg with dessert.

The Zoo and the Aquarium

We had a busy Labor Day weekend. We went to the aquarium on Saturday with Ashley and Ms. Jeanette. Aubrey got to ride the train and the carousel twice!

On Monday we took our 2nd trip to the Houston Zoo. We learned 2 lessons: 1) We will only go to the zoo first thing in the morning from now on. (We didn't really plan on going, just sort of decided that morning to go, so we didn't get there until almost noon). 2) We will never go to the zoo on Labor Day again - it was hot and crowded. (You can probably tell from my pictures and the lack of them. We did see more than 2 animals, though!)
