Some April Fun

I know it's May already, but a few weekends ago, we had an adventure-filled weekend that I have yet to post about. We went to an Astros game Friday night, went to a crawfish bowl on Saturday, and went to the Children's Museum on Sunday.

Aubrey had a great time at the Astros game-we made it all the way to the 7th inning stretch! Juice and goldfish helped the time go by faster. We also had great seats, courtesy of my work.

President Bush and Barbara Bush were at the game, too!

We met my former boss and her daughter, Ashley, at the Children's Museum. Ashley is only 2 months older than Aubrey. Jeanette and I were pregnant at the same time when I worked for her. The Children's Museum was very crowded for a Sunday afternoon at 3:00, so we headed straight for the Toddler's section and didn't go anywhere else. The Toddler's area is great - everything is just their size. Aubrey had a blast running and climbing and playing.

Sleeping Beauty

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, Aubrey went to her first Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by our HOA. We've lived in our house almost 4 years and this is the first neighborhood function we've attended. There was a large Easter Bunny (who Aubrey did not want to go near), a petting zoo with goats, sheep, and chickens, (that we watched from the behind the fence), and cotton candy and snow cones (at 10 am). Aubrey even saw one of her classmates, Alex, there. Aubrey had lots of fun!

Aubrey had so much fun, she's been carrying her basket of Easter eggs around with her. So we had another Easter Egg Hunt in our front yard last night after dinner and again this morning. If only she liked picking up her toys this much!

Baby Shower

We took a trip to Baton Rouge, well really Zachary, over the weekend to throw my sister a baby shower. I am so excited to finally be an Aunt and I know Aubrey is looking forward to her cousin, Grace's, arrival. Aubrey had a great time at the shower. She got to meet lots of new people and eat some good food. She did great, too, for not having much of a nap and spending almost 6 hours total in the car that day.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today is Matt's birthday. After a delicious dinner out we came home and surprised daddy with a cake. He's still trying to figure out how we made it all the way to Bruster's without him knowing!
