Aubrey does letter work almost everyday at school. She learns the sounds and then practices writing the letters that she's working on. She used to be able to recognize one or two letters in a word. So if she was looking at a sign or one of Matt's t-shirts, she would say, "There's an S" or "There's an A". Now she can identify almost every letter on Matt's t-shirts that he wears to school each day(Klein ISD Football, for example). A few weeks ago she brought home a letter sheet that said "cat", "hat", and "mat". I asked her if she could sound out the words for me, and she did! Here's she is this morning before school, showing me how to sound out "cat".
