Trip to the Rodeo

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is more than calf chasing and bronco bucking. It's a huge indoor and outdoor event that lasts for 3 weeks with food, carnival rides, livestock, shopping, exhibits for kids, concerts, and the normal rodeo events. It's spread out over the grounds where the Reliant Stadium is located.

It's the only place I know where you can taste fried oreos and fried oatmeal pies!

Matt's off of school this week for Spring Break, so we thought it would be a good day to go to the rodeo. It was our first big outing as a family of four, and we all had a great time.

We had the most fun at the "Fun on the Farm" exhibit. Aubrey got a basket and had to complete different farming activities. Then she sold back her goods and got to buy a treat with the money she earned farming.

After feeding the chickens, she got to put an egg in her basket.

Even Cooper joined in the fun, while Aubrey gathered her wool from the sheep.
